The MEGA excursion to almost all the interesting treasures in Egypt, a trip to cover almost everything there is in Egypt in just 3 days starting by a visit to Luxor the open air museum city located in the southern region of Egypt, Luxor is considered the depository of the word third most valuable monuments and antiquities, Followed by a wonderful sleeping train to Alexandria the roman treasury and the second capital of Egypt, and in the last day visit Cairo the unique city with the ongoing discoveries of mummies, tombs, monuments, treasures and temples the city remain as a reminder of glory, wisdom and power of it’s Pharaohs, this excursion covers almost everything in Egypt in a very short time and for a very reasonable price!!
Excursion itinerary
Day One Luxor
- Pick up once your trip is confirmed you will receive the confirmation email with the excursion details and pick time and spot ( usually around 5:00 AM depends on your hotel’s location ) you will be picked up from your hotel to Sharm El Sheikh airport, our representative will guide you in the departure hall on what to do and where to go.
- Fly to Luxor arrival estimated time is around 7:00 Am your English speaking guide will be waiting for you with an obvious board of our Sign.
- Arrive to Luxor in the airport you’ll be met with our English speaking guide, all of our guides are pre-informed with the travelers details names & hotels, all you have to do is to spot the Sharm Paradise sign, and we will take it from there .
- West Bank Visit your guide will take you straight to the West bank of Luxor which was known in the ancient time as the city of the dead, it’s an archaeological paradise with it’s rich string of Pharaonic temples and considered a gateway to valley of the king, you will enjoy the real Upper (southern) Egypt, discover death and rebirth from an ancient Egyptian mythology window and with the eye & protection of Anubis.
- Valley of the Kings you’ll be accompanied to the valley of the kings, it’s consists of two valleys, East Valley (where the majority of the royal tombs and temples constructed ) and West Valley, valley of the kings contains almost 65 tombs and chambers, the place was suppose to be a burial of the major royal kings of the Egyptian new dynasty era, Your visit includes entry into 3 tombs, however if you wish to see either the tomb of Tutankhamun or Ramses 6, there is an additional ticket cost.
- Temple of Hatshepsut Then we*ll move to Hatshepsut temple (meaning Foremost of Noble Ladies), Queen Hatshepsut was the fifth pharaoh of the eighteenth dynasty of Ancient Egypt she is a daughter of king Thutmose the First, she established the world first trade network, Her temple is considered one of the most important temples of the ancient time.
- The Colossi of Memnon Before lunch, you’ll visit the colossi of Memnon, which are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep The third. For the past 3400 years (since 1350 BC) they have stood in the Theban necropolis, across the River Nile as a guardian of the entrance to Amenhotep’s memorial temple, The statues are made from blocks of quartz stone, there is a strange phenomenon at this site known as Vocal Memnon a mysterious vocalizations and sounds of the broken colossus are allegedly heard in the morning time, after sending our team to investigate the phenomena their theory suggest that it’s the sun somehow messing out with the pressure of the Huge statues and due to the heavy wight the statues emit a very strange noises !! this has long been an argument between archaeologists but no one knows for sure what’s going on.
- Lunch will come right on time our guide will escort the group to a 4 stars restaurant to have lunch and get some rest for what’s a head.
- Temple of Karnak the complex was dedicated to the king Amun Ra and was the center of his worship and of his wife Mut and their son Khons, and around 30 Kings added their own touches to the complex which took very long to be fully completed, but it’s HUGE covering a site of almost a mile by two miles in the area there are more that 20 temples, what’s special about the karnak complex is that it includes several of the finest examples of ancient Egyptian design and architecture and among them are the Hypostyle Hall one of the world’s great architectural achievements of all time, it also contains Temple of Amun a spectacular forest of giant papyrus-shaped columns.
- Shopping at the end of the day you will spend almost 1 hour to shop for Egyptian antiques ( if you’re not into shopping you can choose to spend your time taking picture or do anything you desire ).
Day Two Alexandria
- Train To Alexandria by the end of your itinerary in day 1 in Luxor you’ll be escorted to Luxor train station and enjoy a luxurious night in sleeping train to Alexandria .
- Alexandria in the morning when you arrive to Alexandria you’ll be met by your Egyptologist guide who will be waiting for you at the train station in Alexandria with our Sharm Paradise Sign to continue the program itinerary for your Alexandria tour.
- Alexandria Roman Theater the excavation that almost took 30 years to uncover the marvelous roman remains in Alexandria unleashing the most popular monuments of the ancient Greeks, there are several roman theater around the world in Europe but the one in Alexandria in the only One in Egypt and arguably in the middle east.
- Alexandria national museum the museum has some of the most interesting artifacts, it was opened to the public around the year 2003, the museum contains the history of Alexandria from the Pharaonic times onward.
- Lunch now it’s time for lunch, your guide will offer you many options for lunch including food courts or international restaurants or local one it’s all up to you.
- Pompey Pillar the huge column made out red granite is considered one of the biggest memorials in Egypt, with a diameter at the base of 2.8 meters & a height of about 27 meters, it was constructed by people of Alexandria during the time of Roman Emperor Diocletian as a sign of gratitude because he removed all of their taxes through a very hard time the city were going through.
- Shopping at the end of the day you will spend almost 1 hour to shop for Egyptian antiques ( if you’re not into shopping you can choose to spend the free time anyway you desire before leaving Alexandria ).
- Drive to Cairo you will then be leaving Alexandria in an air conditioned vehicle to Cairo, the distance is almost 2 hours 30 minutes around 230 KM, your guide will make sure everything is perfectly setup for you and you can enjoy the ride and watch the landscape all the way to Cairo.
- Spend the Night in Cairo you will probably going to need some rest so your hotel will be booked in advance , if you want to do anything at the evening time you can explore the city of Cairo with your guide who will be always in reach, you can choose to have dinner on a Nile cruise or attend one of the folkloric shows.
Day Three Cairo
- Pick up in the morning your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo and continue the rest of the adventure at the city of the pharaohs.
- The National Egyptian Museum the first stop is the museum a very big touristic spot you will spend almost 2 hours so our guide will cover all the highlights and eventually there will be 30 minute free time for the group to wander around and take some pictures around the place ( not inside as cameras are not allowed, our guide will collect the cameras and keep them in a safe inside the museum and once you’re out you can get it back to take some photos ).
- Nile Flucca Ride you will take the traditional sail boats and enjoy a relaxing boat ride and get the chance of getting to know the city and catching the summer breeze from it’s great Nile.
- Lunch the bus will then take the group to either TGI Fridays or a local 4 stars restaurant to have a rest for 1 hour and have lunch and get ready for the next Stop.
- The Pyramids & King Kafra Valley you get to spend almost 2 hours 30 minutes at the pyramids and take some great photos, there are 3 pyramids you will have the chance to get inside one of them for free, our guides are very knowledgeable so you are in for a ride through the ancient history, our group is always a small group ( 12 travelers ) so it gives each one of them enough time to ask the guide anything they have in mind without having to worry about wasting time, then you will be taken to the king Kafra valley and see the sphinx and ask all of your questions.
- Shopping at the end of the day you will spend almost 1 hour to shop for Egyptian antiques ( Eif you’re not into shopping you can wait in your air conditioned bus ).
- Fly Back To Sharm our guide will escort the group to the airport and once you arrive to Sharm El Sheikh you’ll be picked up by our representative back to your hotel.
